I like proofreading printouts while standing up and leaning on a high desk. I don’t know why really. Sometimes it’s good to stand and work. Spread stuff out. Appraise. I find it actually helps me focus on the job, particularly away from the distractions of a computer. It’s easier to miss typos on screen, but that’s a whole ‘nuther story. Anyway, I was standing and proofing today at the wooden table where many table reviews are done at work, and for the first time I noticed the detail pressed into the wood.
The chain. The shark teeth chainring bites. Lovely. It’s all in the details, people. Small details that give you a little tingle when you notice them.
