I Am Specialized: Chuck Teixeira (by Specialized Bicycles)
One of my favorite people at Specialized! Love his passion for riding and how he constantly encourages me on my long-ass ride ideas. :) He’s the real deal, and he has restored a frickin’ amazing car. Well, it looks amazing now!
Today. Coming down. Nisene Marks forest, California.
Borrowed this Crux off my friend, Rita, this week. Will ride it in Rebecca Rusch’s Private Idaho this coming Sunday. Will need to make some adjustments so I can dig it for a hundo, but other than that, she’s a beaut! Descending rough stuff is hard on my messed up hand though. Gonna need to keep an eye on that.
I love the color on this Ruby. It’s the right kind of pink, in moderation, and normally I’d say the frame should be black but the white frame with black Specialized… mmmmmmm. I love it.
Snagged this while our model, Liz, was turning around for another run for the photog on our shoot.
Each day of my 5x100 Miles of Nowhere to Nowhere Road, I’d post a ‘Where in the world are PB&J’ photo and invite people to guess based on this and the photos I’d post throughout the day. This day was correctly identified as hwy 50, the loneliest highway in America.
Peanut Butter’s head badge was made by a guy in ID here. I just wanted something simple for Peanut and Janeen. I chose the chrome finish for the decal. :)
